The entire creation process of the Max Greiner’s first monumental bronze sculpture, “Divine Servant”® is pictured here, along with the amazing story of how God called him to create this artwork. Many people consider this sculpture an artistic masterpiece. God has used the poignant art, first created in 1989, to remind the “Body of Christ” of the importance of serving God, by serving others. It was a message the Holy Spirit wanted to Max to communicate visually, to this generation.
In the entire history of art and religion, with literally hundreds of thousands of images of Jesus, very few artists ever tried to depict Christ as He washed the feet of the disciples. Max was the first artist to create a life-size, realistic sculpture of the composition. Today, Greiner’s “Divine Servant”® composition, based on the John 13, is recognized around the world. It has come to symbolize Christian servanthood, which Jesus calls all of His followers to embrace.
Owners of “Divine Servant” sculptures, in one size or another, include famous and not so famous servants of the Lord, including President and Mrs. George W. Bush, the late Pope John Paul, Dr. Billy Graham, Dr. and Mrs. James Dobson and Dr. Rick Warren, to name a few. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised for worthy ministries and charities using this anointed artwork. God has also used the composition to bring many to salvation in Jesus Christ, when the Holy Spirit used the art to explain Christ’s amazing love to someone.

Max freely admits this sculpture is better than he could create. The Holy Spirit of God anointed him and guided his hands during the entire creation process, he believes.
